The Wind, A Wedding and a Graduation

Some last minute primping before going up to the reception after a very windy ceremony! Loved each of these yellow dresses they were gorgeous bridesmaids and it was so cute watching them bustle her dress and tying bows, and just all being together! I know a wedding is about the love of a Bride and a Groom, but there is something to be said about the love and friendship shared between the Bride and her Bridesmaids. I was honored to be a part of Tania and Geoff's day!

Adding a gorgeous detail to her dress for the reception! Time to Party!

A lovely though windy ceremony!
A Beautiful Bride pre ceremony... she looks so calm!
A WEDDING IN THE WIND.... On this day the weather was predicted to be grey, cold, windy and chance of rain. It turned out to be a beautiful day with bright sunshine and puffy white clouds... but there was the wind.... And hanging quite a few paper lanterns on a windy day at the beach proved to be a challenge, but my team stepped up and only a few lanterns didn't make it to the end of the night. Not to mention, not the best performance by the wedding coordinators, but thankfully all got done and despite the wind Tania and Geoff had a great day. I want to say something about being a wedding vendor... it is always about the bride, groom and their family and friends having a great day. And that means whatever needs to be done should get done and that the vendors if at all possible should support each other. So that the Bride comes out the winner. For the most part I have experienced some awesome event planners like Joyful Weddings and Events and others... professional in every detail, unfortunately the event planners at this event were not quite up to par... hopefully the bride did not notice a thing and enjoyed every minute of her special day. Darcie from Joyful Weddings and Events... thanks for stepping up when you were needed to make sure everything was ready to go for the Ceremony.

A GRADUATION. My Megan graduated on Sunday from California State University Fullerton, with Cum Laude Honors in Child and Adolescent Development... She worked so hard and did it all on her own. While going to school and changing schools, she moved several times, taught preschool and worked many other jobs and even managed to plan a wedding, get married and become a puppy parent. We are so proud of her! Congratulations Megan! I of course had booked a wedding for the same day as her graduation. This made for some not so great moments from me and a deeper conviction that God is in control and I, if walking close to Him do not need to worry about a thing! He blessed me with being able to get all flowers done ahead of time... Get me to Newport Beach by 8 am to drop off bouquets, then to Fullerton by 9:30 to see Megan graduate and then back down to San Clemente to install florals, lights and lanterns. With no traffic, no rain (that was predicted) and just a beautiful day... with some powerful wind and waves, just to remind me who is in control...

Haley's Baby Shower

Haley Goodman... a gorgeous bride of mine only a little over 2 years ago (see her amazing wedding on www.megansgarden.net in the gallery) and now a glowing Mother to Be, how sweet is life! Nothing but PINK for Haley, so of course she is having a BABY GIRL! Her wonderful Mother In Law Cheryl and the Daddy to Be sisters, Jennifer and Brooke threw her a all pink shower at the gorgeous Marbella Country Club. I was honored to be asked back to be a part of it. They also added a garland of onesies spelling out BABY GIRL and napkins folded like diapers.

We used Antique White Baby Carriages and Square Glass Vases filled with Pink Hydrangeas, Peonies, and Roses, Yellow Mini Cymbidium Orchids, Pink Lisianthus, Pink and Green Cockscomb, Amazing Pink, Yellow, and Green Ti Leaves, Pink Statice, Blue Nigella and the Sweet Yellow Fever Few. Along with some Texas Privet Blooms from my yard. Oh yeah and pink balloons... we haven't blown up balloons in years. But it was fun and an adventure as always and added a extra pink flair!
